Hyacinths on French linen

The hyacinths are still fresh and I am very happy to paint them again. I started working on this on Friday, took a break and finished it today.

More progress on the underpainting.
As I continued to work and use the palette knife, I started to render the glass bottle. Before I knew it, it was done. I usually wait to paint whatever the flowers are held in.  I make sure the background and flowers are done first, but this time I got ahead of myself because I was excited!

Here is the finished piece. A very simple composition, but I think there is a feeling of quietness. I am quite proud of my glass bottle.
