Painting process: More anemones

DSC_0003
The anemones are still holding up, so I added a few new flowers to create a beautiful Spring blue bouquet. Above is the set-up and the sketch.

Yay, I’m done! I worked for three days on this because of all the detail and the gingham cloth. I may have overworked it slightly. Love the blues though.

New work: Small fun pieces

I had some little bits of paint left over on my palette.  I don’t like to waste paint and these blobs would have dried before I painted my next piece.  I have some 8 x 10 inch canvas boards around for occasions like this and decided to have some fun with Autumn bouquets and stripes.  They are for sale, if anyone is interested. They sell for £250 each(unframed) which includes p&p within the UK and worldwide. Please contact me for further info.

Latest painting: “Late Spring bouquet with figs”

Sorry, I haven't been posting too much lately. I have been focusing more on my art Facebook page and my Instagram. Maybe it is the convenience of being able to post quickly from my phone. Anyways, I wanted to share a recent painting I have done. I used several photo references to create this one. It was freeing in a way, not having to paint what I see right in front of me. Below is the sketch and you can see I am starting to block in the colour.
